Season ending Rally for Gus in Japan ended in 4th.

29. marrask. 2024

Rally Japan was an amazing experience, very challenging stages. I was also driving gravelcrew for Gus so it made this weekend a little bit different. The stages in Japan are extremely difficult. Very twisty and technical but also very fast. Luckily this year was not so wet as last year was but still very demanding.

The rally started quite ok for Gus and Jonas, being in 3rd place. Unfortunately on ss4 there was one extra slippy braking and Gis ended hitting a bank outside which caused some damage and a time loss of just under two minutes. They managed to fix the car before next stage. After day one they were 7th overall. Saturday was a solid that with nearly all times in top3 and end if the day they climbed to 5th. Sunday was a short but challenging, driving was pretty much the same as Saturday and after one driver retired they ended up in 4th overall. Not the result we wanted, but still an okey way to finish what has been a very difficult season. Surely not what we wanted to have, but that’s the way it sometimes goes even if you try your absolute best.

Now it’s time to have a small break in rallies before 2025.

I still have a 2 day coaching camp in Australia this weekend. Im trying to launch a coaching culture here, so it’s a very interesting few day’s ahead. Ill write a report during the days.
